MAYOR'S CREATIVE WRITING CONTEST FOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH

February is a special month in our calendar that celebrates the achievements and contributions African Canadians have made to our city, Black History Month not only engages the elders and leaders in the community but also our young people.  To further engage our youth and their creative talents, Mayor John Tory has created a writing competition to commemorate Black History Month.

By February 16, 2016, Mayor John Tory is inviting young people between the ages of 11 and 17 to enter in the Mayor's Black History Month Creative Writing Competition.  For details and contest rules please visit toronto.ca/blackhistory, or please see Ms. DiBiase-Petrungaro in the Library.
