The Boys' Basketball season has begun. First game we faced was Father Henry arr. We were shorthanded and there was no way t hat we could complete shorthanded but we did. Father Henry Carr won the game. We then met with Marshall McCluhan and played shorthanded and suffered a huge loss.
A new team to the TDCAA called Nile Academy came into our house really shorthanded, so the tables were turned We got to see our high powered defense close the door. Dante Senior Boys were able to put up 110 points, along with Japrell, Jay-ar and Samson scoring over 25 points each.
Tonight after school Dante welcomes Don Bosco. Come out and cheer on our Senior Boys'.

WE SCARE HUNGER
Who uses food banks? Well let me tell you - it's families, children, the working poor, people with disabilities, newcomers, single parents, those on social assistance, students and seniors.
Almost 1 in 8 people struggle with food insecurity because they simply don't have enough money to put food on the table.
Please make a donation of non-perishable food to the We Scare Hunger Food Drive.
Now there is one more reason to support We Scare Hunger - the period three class that brings in the most food donations will win a pizza lunch for the whole class. Your period 3 teacher will be keeping track of how many items your class brings in.

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR MENTAL HEALTH TEAM
Our final “tip
of the week” is to get enough sleep!
Sleep plays a vital role in good health and wellness. Having a proper sleep routine is essential to brain development and our emotional state.
We need sleep to keep us healthy, active, and stable to perform at our best. When we are well rested, we perform better in school and all other activities. Sleep helps our mood and we are able to solve problems more effectively. It is recommended that “teens and adults get approximately 8-10 hours per night.” So, think about how much sleep you are getting and what you can do to improve your sleep routine.
So, take this weekend to catch up on some Zzzzzz…..
A reminder that the winners for our contest will be drawn today during period 4 at around 2pm…please listen out for your name…good luck!
