GIRLS SOFTBALL TEAM

"Last night the Dante girls softball team defeated Father John Redmond by a score of 9-5 in the first round of the playoffs. The girls will now travel to Hendon Park to play first place Loretto Abbey on Thursday. Players are asked to meet with Ms. Fearon at Beatrice and Mr. D at Dante on Thursday morning immediately after morning announcements."

Thanks,
Mr. Di Nicolantonio

BOYS BASEBALL

The Boys of Summer played their final game of the season yesterday against Redmond in a tense encounter. Our cross-town rival have proven to be a tough opponent but Dante went down with a fight and almost snatched victory from the clutches of defeat. Highlights included Jomar Carvajal going 4-4 on the day!

Congrats to all players for an outstanding effort this season. Especially to our grade 12 students who will not be returning to the team. Also, to the coaches, Mr. Jamnik, Mr. Petracco and Mr. Boscarino. Their dedication and comradery with the team allowed for a special and memorable season. A special shoutout to our #1 fan, Mrs. Gauthier!

Look forward to next season! Go Dante!!

Thanks,
 Mr. Boscarino

TRACK AND FIELD

Wait a minute this just in!!

Because we told the 4 X 100 meter girls track team to push all the way to the finish, and they did what the coaches told them.  They followed the instructions to eat their Wheaties say their prayers and take their vitamins. And run fast like coach Cifelli told them. Lyric , Lorenza, julianna, and Chilli will be blazing their own trail into OFSAA next week.
Track and Field is alive and kickin. Dante still has to compete in the Ontario finals for the girls 4X100 meter relay.

This will take place at the University of Toronto time and day is yet to be determined.

Goooo Dante!

Thanks
Mr. Blackburn

BOYS BASEBALL TEAM

The Dante Boys Baseball team played a hard-fought game against Johnson but fell to a loss. The last regular game in the season still saw some highlights that will propel the Boys of Summer into the playoffs at full-strength. Josh Neville went 3 for 3 and led the charge most of the game. Humberto Santos, showing his veteran abilities, led a late charge to no avail but showed signs of brilliance. Brayan Vera Verala also stepped up to the plate and showed off some of his exemplary pitching ability. Best of luck to Dante in this year's playoffs!
