DAY OF PINK ANTI-BULLYING EVENT

Bullies may think it's funny, but harassing peers is no laughing matter. Bullying leads to psychological and physical consequences that outlast the school day. Today, Dante takes a stand against bullying. Together we can initiate conversations, advocate for change, and prevent bullying for good.

Students and staff may incorporate APPROPRIATE PINK articles of clothing to the uniform in support of today's Day of Pink Anti-Bullying Event. Student Council will be visiting homeroom classes to collect any donations. We will also be selling pink sweets and beverages in the cafeteria during all lunches. Proceeds and any monetary donations will be donated to The Trevor Project against discrimination.

Bullying is a disease. Together we can be the cure.

ANTI-BULLYING FUNDRAISING EVENT - DAY OF PINK

In 2007, a Grade 9 student in Nova Scotia was bullied for wearing a pink shirt and because of his sexual orientation. Bullying causes serious harm. Those who are bullies and those who are bullied are at greater risk of suicide and will be more likely to miss school, show little interest in their studies and suffer poor grades.

Bullying is a disrespectful peer relationship problem. It is essential to identify and help primitively in order to support the development of healthy relationships. Tomorrow, Student Council will be hosting a Day of Pink Anti-Bullying Fundraising Event. Students and staff are encouraged to incorporate APPROPRIATE PINK articles of clothing to the uniform, such as pink shirts, pink
shoes, etc. We will also be selling pink sweets and beverages on this day. Proceeds and any monetary contributions will be donated to The Trevor Project against discrimination.

Bullying is a disease. Be the vaccine.
