SKI/SNOWBOARD TRIP

Ski/Snowboard is this Friday Feb 27th :

TRIP MUST  LIST:

Must be at Dante and on the bus for 7:00 am (Marcus and Alex R do not be late)

Must have the following:  Hat, Gloves,SKI JACKET, Snowpants, Sweatshirt, Sweatpants, 2 pairs of socks, extra gloves, Goggles and 5.00 for locker and lunch or lunch money.  Please remember it will be cold and a bit windy on the ski hill you are spending all day outside, better to have extra warm clothes with you. NO JEANS THEY ARE NOT CONSIDERED SNOW PANTS.

If this is your 1st time snowboarding, please bring a pillow and your OHIP card.

MARCH BREAK TRIP TO EUROPE

Attention all those planning to go to the trip to Europe this upcoming March Break.

There is a mandatory parent information night this Thursday, February 26th at 7:00 pm in the Cafeteria. Please enter through the doors at the back of the school. Both students and their parents or legal guardians must attend! Also, a gentle reminder to bring any outstanding documents, such as a copy of your medical insurance, to that session as well.

BELL DRIVER EDUCATION

Bell Driver Education will be offering their popular ministry approved Driver's Education Course to students of Dante Alighieri Academy.  The course will be held here at the school starting on Monday April 27, 2015 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in Portable 4. Students who are interested may pick up an information package at the Main Office..

DANTE SENIOR SOCCER TEAM

The Dante senior soccer team won all of its 4 games, including a 3-0 victory final against a tough Michael Power team at the 2015 Humber Tournament for indoor soccer.
Tournament MVP went to Jordan Pereira while Matteo Restrepo took top player award
against Power in the final. Coaches Ongaro, Fortino and Spedaliere would like to thank
Humber College for their hospitality and especially the players for their stellar play; the team did not allow a goal against during the Tournament. 
Well done!!

If you didn't get the chance to buy Spirit Wear, Student Council will be selling Spirit Wear Sweaters once again until February 23rd during all lunches in the caf! We will only be selling Classic Red and Black Hoodies for $50 and our new Dante Scarf for $20. 10% off applies to Casual Day Year Pass holders. We need a minimum of 50 buyers to proceed with the order. This will be the last time we sell Spirit Wear for this school year. You can wear your Spirit Wear every Friday and it's a warm way of showing your Dante Spirit!!!

GIRLS SOCCER TEAM

Great turn-out to all Girls Interested in playing on the Dante Soccer Team last night at Beatrice Campus.

Tryout #2 is Feb 11th/12th at Beatrice Campus.  Please come prepared to practice.

We welcome back co-coaches Chantel Cifuentes and Stefanie Caruso to the Girls soccer coaching roster. Both girls have graduated from Dante and are playing at their respective schools Humber College and York University.

Person B: Hey! What's up, Nina?

Person A: I'm really hungry...And I’m craving for some fun food...

Person B: What do you mean by “fun food”?

Person A: Well, you know.. a cupcake, a brownie, or maybe some cake! The sweet stuff!

Person B: I heard that on February 11, Me-to-We will be hosting a “We Bake for Change” sale in the cafeteria during all three lunches. Our table filled with sweets will be hard to miss!

Person A: Really? That’s sounds amazing. I’ll be there for sure. Is there anything else that I should know?

Person B: All the proceeds will go to Dante’s Street Patrol which helps homeless people in Toronto. It's a win win situation. You get your delicious dessert and you help your community. Make sure you come back and purchase a sweet treat.

An early reminder that Thursday February 12th will be a "Believe in Angels Week" Board-wide Civvies Day. Students must donate a minimum of $2, with or without a Casual Day Year Pass, to be able to participate. All proceeds will go to the Angel Foundation for Learning.
