Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and autism are general terms characterized by difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviours. ASD can be associated with intellectual disability, difficulties in motor coordination and attention and physical health issues such as sleep disturbances. Some persons with ASD excel in visual skills, music, math and art.

Did you know Autism now affects 1 in 68 children and 1 in 42 boys in Canada.

Autism speaks Canada works to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. They are dedicated to funding global research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism.
