IN BASKETBALL NEWS.......

Yesterday's 3 on 3 tournament proved to be a testament for competition...some girls teams went up against guys teams and beat them. Nonetheless it came down to the Bosses, the Young Boys, The Glory Boyz and the Up Top Bangers in the semi finals. The Glory Boys however, were not able to get past the Up Top Bangers for the second time and consequently moved on to the finals to face of course the Bosses. In the end the Bosses came out on top with a strategic systematic approach to the game. In all everybody was a winner it was a great well attended tournament. I want to thank Mr. Servello, Mr. Dabbagh, Mr. Quaglia, Mr.Griffith for a job well done.
GO DANTE!

Thanks

STUDENT VOTE

Hey Dante!
The student vote is taking place on June 6th, and we’re here to provide you with some information on the candidates! Thomas Gallezot is representing the New Democratic Party in the Eglinton-Lawrence riding. He proposes to make daycare more accessible, more affordable and more reliable. He would also like to keep schools open after hours for not-for-profit groups, and to be a voice for immigrants. To help not-for-profit groups he would offer activities relating to sport and recreation, arts and culture, English classes and cultural skills. Similar activities would be available to immigrants in their own language. He believes that Torontonians and transit experts should collaborate in regards to finding transit solutions.  With this in mind, vote on June 6th.
Thanks
Ms. Tonelli

JUNIOR BOYS AND GIRLS RELAY TEAM

On your marks.... get set.... and off we go to OFSAA!!!

Today is a big day for the Junior girls relay team: Chiliana, Lyric, Juliana, Lorenza, Carla, Carly-Ann, and the Junior Boys relay team: Kevin, Jimane, Garnett, Joseph and Sean... athletes who when this season began, were determined to make it to OFSAA this year in honor of our lost track and field brother "Kwame". The team has had their ups and downs, faced many injuries, but they stayed focused on their goal of making their dream come true... and now will represent DANTE at the 2014 Track & Field Championship!

These two teams were able to win against the best relay teams in the the TCDSB, then they moved on to beat all the best teams from public and private schools in Toronto... The girls are currently the 3rd fastest team in Toronto and the boys are ranked as the 4th fastest team in all of Toronto....  now they still have their work cut out for them as they race against the 23 absolute best teams in all of Ontario.... This is a proud, proud moment for Dante and let us all wish them the best of luck!

Thanks
