Huge congratulations to the Dante Junior Girls Basketball Team. They improved their perfect record to 5-0 with a spectacular 32 - 31 over annual powerhouse Michael Power last Thursday. Dante had not beaten Micheal Power in over 8 years according to a few Power fans. The game was a nail–biter until the dying second. With only 1 minute left in the 4th and up by one we managed to pull out spectacular victory. There was outstanding teamwork throughout the closely contested match. Our big three of Sonia, Mitta, and Chervon shown true determination and confidence in the last minutes of play. A special mention goes out to Mila whose defensive presence was the backbone on a lot of our zone sets. The Girls have two more games this week and intend to keep their perfect season alive.

Yesterday, the Jr. Boys' soccer team traveled to Redmond to play their second league game. Dante had many opportunities to score in the first half but could not finish around the net. Scoring for Dante was Raemon Mendoza and Christian Samaniego. Dante's next game is next week against Power. The coaches would like to congratulate the players for playing hard and winning the game. The players are reminded of their practice next week Monday at Beatrice.
